ASRTU TECH Winter School The First Information letter February 6 – 12, 2017 Ekaterinburg, Russia Dear colleagues and students of ASRTU Member universities and ASRTU observer universities! The Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities became a successful platform for development of humanitarian and scientific cooperation between our countries. Understanding the importance of the further development of the Association and strengthening of relations between Chinese and Russian universities, the Ural Federal University with the Permanent Secretariats of ASRTU from the 6th to the 12th of February, 2017 holds an international school for Chinese students of engineering and natural science specialties. We cordially invite students from the Chinese universities of the Association to visit Ekaterinburg and know more about our university, our city, our educational programs and scientific possibilities. Program of Winter School The program of the ASRTU TECH Winter School includes lectures, professional seminars, visits to scientific laboratories, meetings with scientists of the Ural Federal University, communication with Russian students, participant will know more about University, Ekaterinburg, the Ural region and its history. The Chinese students will be able to know about science and education possibilities of the Ural Federal University and will have the opportunity to find the scientific adviser for the continuing research work. The Organizing Committee will prepare the detailed program and send to the registered participants in electronic form. The Organizing Committee Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities Assistance in organization is provided by: Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Ural Federal University (UrFU). The hosting party: The Ural Federal University. Participants of the School Master's students of the ASRTU Chinese universities (especially the students of the second year of study) with the interest in the following research areas: Chemical Engineering Computer and Information Sciences; Electronic Engineering, Radio Engineering and Communication technologies Electronics and Information technologies Electric Power Industry and Heat-Power Engineering Material technologies Mechanical Engineering Metallurgical Engineering Nanotechnologies and nanomaterials Natural Sciences (astronomy, biology, chemistry, ecology, physics) Languages of the school: English (Intermediate level) Registration of participants For the participation in ASRTU TECH Winter school students should fill out the forms (Annex 1) and send them with attached scanned copies of passports before November 20, 2016 to this e-mail: TECHWinterSchool@yandex.ru, TECHWinterSchool@163.com. Information about expenditures Ural Federal University, as the responsible party for organizing and conducting the School, will cover the accommodation, meals and travel expenses during the event for the representatives of the ASRTU Chinese universities (no more than 3 persons). Participants are responsible for transportation costs to Ekaterinburg. School Venue Russia, Ekaterinburg, Mira st., 19, the main academic building of the Ural Federal University.
